Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and navigate various driving conditions. If you have your own van, you may make more money. however if you use ours its £100 a day

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring that items are secured properly for transport.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Deliver packages to designated locations in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
  • Assist in warehouse duties as required, including inventory management and organisation.

Skills

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience driving vehicles is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety protocols.
  • Strong driving skills with the ability to navigate different routes efficiently.
  • Experience in warehouse operations is beneficial, including knowledge of stock management practices.
  • Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.
