Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivery driving and possess strong communication skills. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers while maintaining a high standard of service. if you have your own van, you may be paid more. if you use ours its fixed £100 per day.

Duties

  • Operate a delivery vehicle in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring that items are secured properly for transport.
  • Navigate routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries, utilising GPS and maps as necessary.
  • Communicate with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the delivery vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
  • Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
  • Complete necessary paperwork related to deliveries, including receipts and logs.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
  • A valid driving licence with no major endorsements; experience driving larger vehicles is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is beneficial.
  • Experience in a warehouse setting is a plus, providing insight into logistics operations.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
