A successful multi-disciplinary contractor is looking for a Trainee Planner to join their growing team. They are proficient in delivering various schemes, including industrial, student accommodation, stadiums, and build-to-rent developments.
They are a supportive employer who will provide a structured career path and full support for your professional and personal development.
The role
As a Trainee Planner, you will learn to efficiently plan and manage a selection of projects through the entire project lifecycle.
You will work on a diverse range of projects with contract values from £7m to £60m, including commercial offices, hotels, student accommodation, private apartments, industrial, and warehousing units; each offering valuable challenges and experience.
Your main tasks will involve providing independent progress reviews in the form of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly updates on the Construction and Contract programmes (using Asta Powerproject), as well as producing status reports. These reports will examine the critical path, construction progress, and the design and procurement of subcontractors and materials, highlighting any current or potential issues to the project teams that could impact the project's completion date, while also submitting the reports to senior management.
Additional duties include creating construction maps and logistics plans, recording and measuring construction output rates, and monitoring the status and condition of all projects, whether live or tendering, to produce monthly reports for the board of directors.
The ideal candidate
You will have completed, or be partly through, a construction qualification.
Some Construction Experience Is Preferred But Not Essential.
