Remote, United Kingdom Organised and Clean Full time £3,120 per year

Join Home at Peace as a Freelance Care Coordinator

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Freelance Care Coordinator to support the smooth running and growth of our small domiciliary care service, Home at Peace. This role is ideal for a retired or semi-retired coordinator, or someone with extensive experience in domiciliary care, local government, or Continuing Health Care services. We value deep experience and a compassionate, professional approach.

Key Responsibilities

You will manage client care schedules, conduct remote staff check-ins, oversee rota management, and handle fortnightly invoicing. You'll also ensure staff payments and client invoices are managed on time, as well as help structure and refine our organisational systems.

Technical and Structural Experience

Comfort with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, is essential. In the first month, you'll focus on reviewing and slightly refining our existing organisation and care documentation as necessary. By months two and three, you'll help introduce additional structural elements like updated care plans and ensure all invoicing and staff payments are always prompt.

Three-Month Growth Plan

Over the first three months, we'll gradually refine our systems together and start some light marketing to link Home at Peace to new business opportunities. Your background and expertise will help us get these foundational elements in place so we can grow smoothly and effectively.

Flexible Working Hours

Initially, the hours will be 3 hours a week, with the potential to increase as we grow. The rate is £15 per hour on a self-employed basis.

We look forward to working with someone who brings both experience and a warm, compassionate approach to helping us grow.

Responsibilities

  • Organise and schedule care appointments, ensuring timely delivery of services
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, families, and care providers
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client information and care plans
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals to adapt care plans as needed
  • Monitor service quality and address any issues or concerns promptly
  • Assist in the onboarding of new clients and staff members
  • Utilise office software to manage documentation, appointments, and communication efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant regulations

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an office environment is desirable
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Compassionate approach with a genuine interest in supporting others
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Proficient in using office software such as Microsoft Office or equivalent programmes
  • Attention to detail and high levels of professionalism

This role provides an opportunity to contribute meaningfully within a supportive environment, helping individuals access essential care services while developing your professional skills.
