We have an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Supported Housing Team as a Support Team Leader.

We own and manage c.8,000 homes in the east of England, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders within our communities. We build on the good foundations we have in place in being a customer-centric organisation, investing in our existing homes - including our zero-carbon journey - as well as building new homes.

Outline of Key Responsibilities...

  • To plan and schedule work for the team to meet all health and safety, support and admin responsibilities including leave cover, tv licencing administration, eligibility of the supported gardening and decorating schemes, monitoring and review of our supported module, reviewing outcomes and lessons learnt and complaints
  • Directly line manage and motivate employees by providing direction, guidance, advice and support to ensure the delivery of a quality customer-focused service which is fair and accessible to all meeting our customer service standards. Regularly reviewing the team's performance data to ensure these standards are being met
  • To complete case reviews and ensure staff are managing cases in line with the framework and action plans. To escalate high risk cases where appropriate, considering risk to people and property. Which includes supporting enforcement processes such as court applications where necessary
  • Keep up to date with services offered by our internal teams and third-party organisations to be able to refer, promote and signpost to officers and residents as appropriate
  • Act as a safeguarding deputy. Understanding our role in safeguarding, including Domestic Abuse and how this fits with statutory services. Ensure team members report and act on any concerns without delay. Providing advice, guidance and support across the organisation in solving complex cases, completing learning reviews to embed a culture of safeguarding to improve outcomes for some of our most

We are looking for someone who has...

  • Full UK, valid driving licence with access to a vehicle
  • Knowledge of welfare and benefits systems
  • Understanding of the role in relation to partner agencies, including Adult Social Care
  • Familiarity with safeguarding legislation and statutory responsibilities
  • Ability to line manage and support a team to achieve agreed outcomes
