Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and Hospital settings, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and wellbeing. Your ability to communicate effectively and your attention to detail will be crucial in implementing care plans tailored to each individual's needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities.
- Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring that all needs are met.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate staff.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to foster a supportive environment.
- Drive to various locations as needed for home care assignments, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled visits.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with residents and staff.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving home visits.
- Familiarity with creating or following care plans is beneficial.
- Basic IT skills are required for documentation and record-keeping purposes.

Job Types: Temp to perm, Zero hours contract

Pay: £12.21-£27.05 per hour
