Domiciliary Care Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. The role involves delivering personalised care to enhance the quality of life for our clients, many of whom may be experiencing dementia, long term illness , or other health conditions. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support patients with medication administration and health monitoring in accordance with care plans
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Manage behaviour effectively and compassionately, especially in cases involving dementia or Alzheimer's care
- Provide transportation for appointments or outings when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
- Follow health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when required
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Support families and other healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is preferred
- Knowledge of patient care techniques including dementia, and senior care
- Certification or training in first aid is advantageous
- Valid driving licence for transportation duties is desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage empathetically with clients of all ages
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for mobility assistance or moving equipment
- Experience in meal preparation and behaviour management is beneficial
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to provide high-quality care
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, or weekends as needed
