The Role

We're looking for an organised and proactive Purchasing Administrator to support our busy Purchasing Department.

You'll play a key role in keeping our supply chain running smoothly — ensuring ingredients, packaging and materials are ordered and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Purchasing Director with daily administration tasks.
  • Raise and manage purchase orders with suppliers.
  • Track deliveries and follow up on late or missing orders.
  • Manage supplier credits for shortages or damaged goods.
  • Set up new suppliers and products on internal systems.
  • Analyse sales and stock data to assist with purchasing decisions.
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth stock flow and communication.
  • Research pricing and materials to support cost-saving initiatives.

About You

Essential skills and experience:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong communication and telephone skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or purchasing role.

Desirable:

  • Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or supply chain.
  • Understanding of stock management or purchasing systems.

Personal qualities:

  • Analytical and detail-focused.
  • Proactive and able to work independently.
  • Positive attitude and strong team player.
