Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Powder Coater to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in various fabrication processes. This role involves preparing and applying powder coatings to metal components, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets our stringent standards. The successful applicant will work in a fast-paced environment, utilising hand tools and power tools while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking as required
• Operate powder coating equipment and ensure proper application techniques are followed
• Monitor the curing process to achieve optimal results
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure adherence to specifications
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, following all safety guidelines
• Collaborate with team members on assembly and fabrication tasks as needed
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and perform basic maintenance when necessary

Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for fabrication tasks
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material requirements
• Experience in construction painting or similar roles is advantageous
• Familiarity with assembly processes and welding techniques is preferred
