TERM-TIME Early Years Practitioner

SUMMARY
As an Early Years Practitioner you will be expected to work independently, and as part of a team with other practitioners and other nursery staff.
KEY POINTS
Protect and promote the health and well-being of children
· Ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed
· Implement and deliver the EYFS curriculum in accordance with the childrens social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs.
· Support childrens learning and development through play
· Be a key person to a small group of children and build positive relationships with their families
· Monitor childrens progress to ensure they reach their developmental targets
· Plan and create activities which keep children engaged throughout the day
· Help prepare children for the transition into school life
KEY REQUIREMENTS
You SHOULD hold an approved Level 3 qualification or above, equivalent - NNEB or BTEC NATIONAL DIPLOMA Certificate in Childcare and have at least two years experience of working in an early years setting. You should have a good understanding of the EYFS and experience of working in a nursery with a flexible approach to working hours and days. To be enthusiastic, be creative and provide stimulating activities to support the children's learning and development. And provide a safe, caring supportive learning environment and ensure hygiene standards are met.
