Overview

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of joinery and construction, demonstrating expertise in fabrication and assembly. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work with both hand and power tools. As a Joiner, you will contribute to the creation of high-quality structures and fittings, ensuring that all work meets industry standards.

Duties

  • Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, fixtures, and fittings according to specifications.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
  • Perform carpentry tasks including the installation of doors, windows, and cabinetry.
  • Execute joinery tasks with precision to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.
  • Engage in roofing activities as required, ensuring proper installation and maintenance.
  • Conduct heavy lifting as necessary for transporting materials and equipment on-site.
  • Assist with construction painting to enhance the appearance of finished products.
  • Support plumbing tasks when needed, ensuring all installations are functional and compliant with regulations.
  • Participate in masonry work as part of broader construction projects.
  • Apply electrical experience when required for specific joinery tasks or installations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in joinery or a related field is essential.
  • Strong skills in fabrication and assembly techniques are required.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools is necessary for effective performance in this role.
  • Knowledge of carpentry principles is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with roofing practices will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely is essential for this position.
  • Experience in construction painting is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Basic plumbing knowledge is beneficial for assisting with various projects.
  • Understanding of masonry techniques will enhance your suitability for this role.
