CNC Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision components. Duties

• Programme, operate, and monitor CNC machines using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks and other relevant tools.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing of parts.
• Set up tooling, fixtures, and materials in accordance with job requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Handle materials efficiently, including loading and unloading raw materials and finished products.
• Utilise hand tools and welding equipment for assembly or minor modifications as required.
• Conduct quality checks on machined parts, ensuring adherence to specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in fabrication, milling, or machining environments.
• Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CAD software such as SolidWorks.
• Mechanical knowledge of tooling, materials handling, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and perform basic math calculations related to measurements and tolerances.
• Experience with welding, assembly, and the use of hand tools is desirable.
• Warehouse experience or familiarity with materials logistics is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: From £12.50 per hour
