Kinly helps people over-66 to understand what benefits and allowances they are eligible for, and then we do all the complex forms/applications for them. By doing so, we unlock £5,000 a year per person on average, helping people to afford the support that they need to live better lives (e.g., carers, physios, taxis, heating). The recent news around Winter Fuel Allowance has brought a lot of national attention to this topic.

Millions of pensioners face major barriers accessing the support they need; whether due to disability, low income, lack of internet or lack of family. Kinly's service is free at the point of use and fully accessible to older people with no internet and only a landline.

The business is based in London, but our team of Client Service Agents are based remotely all around the UK.

About the role

Kinly is looking for compassionate and kind individuals, who are excited about working with older people. The role is highly rewarding, well paid and flexible.

The Client Service Agent role entails supporting older people applying for various benefits and allowances. These include applications such as Attendance Allowance, Pension Credits and Carer's Allowance. This will all be done over the phone (monitored and safeguarded).

As a Kinly Agent, your primary responsibility is to:

1) Gather the required information from the client over the phone. Holding these calls requires empathy, compassion and an interest in helping people.

2) Complete the application form for them using our proprietary platform. Once the call is completed, the Agent will then use the information gathered to complete the various benefits forms. You will be fully supported by the central Kinly team.

What we are looking for

  • Minimum time commitment of 10-4pm (or equivalent) for 4-5 days a week.
  • Excellent communication skills on the phone.
  • Highly compassionate and caring individuals.
  • Interest in helping older people and making a positive impact on society.
  • Remote workers - including people needing flexibility in their work (all they need is a good internet connection and a quiet room).
  • Competent and efficient at using a computer and typing (word, pdf, email).
  • Previous experience in helping older people with benefits applications is a big plus, but we also have a training programme to train people with no experience.
