Main Purpose of Job: To effectively and efficiently deliver the main responsibilities and key result areas encompassed within a shift leader / senior residential support worker role.

To meet the above requirements within a residential setting catering for individuals with disabilities.

GS SCS has a full safeguarding children and vulnerable adults policy/ policies which staff are familiarised with at induction and can access at any time during employment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY RESULT AREAS:

  • Assist the management of the home in developing the skills and potential of RSW's.
  • To be accountable for the cash float and balance checks.
  • Check medication stocks and report any discrepancies to the registered manager.
  • Medication administration.
  • Work within, and ensure effective delivery of the policies and procedures in the home.
  • Monitor and maintain administrative requirements, ensuring that the outcome meets the standards set out in the Care Quality Commission Regulations.
  • Participate and where appropriate take the lead in the assessment of individuals.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Promote and actively encourage the delivery of a safe, structured and nurturing environment.
  • Work within local, national and legislative requirements.
  • Work on own initiative when required.
  • Supervision of residents in a group or individual setting.
  • Safeguard and protect the welfare of residents.
  • Ensure the needs of the individuals are paramount.
  • Promote and support the individuals in reaching their full potential.
  • Ensure that the life chance opportunities of individuals are met in relation to their social, educational, leisure, emotional health and mental health needs.
  • Develop and deliver strategies to manage individuals who display inappropriate behaviour.
  • Ensure effective delivery of all work requirements within agreements and deadlines of partner agencies and the company.

  • Undertake all relevant training as and when required.
  • You must co-operate with the Company in complying with the Health and Safety requirements and you are therefore expected to follow Company policies, familiarise yourself with the Fire, Health and Safety Procedures at your place of work and carry out relevant risk assessments.
  • Plan and organise daily, weekly and monthly checks within the home.
  • Plan and organise meal plans and shopping.
  • Assist with budget plans.
  • Have good communication skills and be competent in the English Language.

Pay: £30,991.00-£30,992.00 per year
