DEPUTY MANAGER VACANCY

Salary: £35,000 - £35,000 per annum (Depending on experience)

The Senior Management Team of CHD Living Ltd is seeking a full time Non Clinical Deputy Manager for Surrey Heights ( Godalming) The Surrey Heights is a residential service that supports Older People in the local community to live their life their way.

Job Purpose:

To supervise, inspire and manage all care staff to achieve excellence through a multi-disciplinary approach. To be part of the Home's Management Team with a lead responsibility for management, support and direction of care services. To deputise in the absence of the service manager.

Professional Qualification:

NVQ / QCF in Health and Social Care Level 3 or above and be willing to work towards Level 4.

Experience of:

· Demonstrating and maintaining specialist knowledge, relevant qualifications and skills necessary for the role

· Delivering a good quality person-centred service for residents, in line with legislative, regulatory and CQC Fundamental Care Standards

· Implementing policies and procedures (including health and safety) in an effective manner Ensuring staff receive appropriate induction support, timely probationary reviews, regular supervisions and on going development through in-house training.

· Supervising staff, involving staff in decisions, providing guidance where needed

· Addressing concerns constructively and delivering positive outcomes.

· Working constructively as part of the Home management team and manage staff to the standards expected by the Senior Management Team.

Knowledge and Skill:

· Knowledge of CQC Fundamental standards, Health & Safety, COSHH, manual handling, infection control and good hygiene.

· Understanding of safeguarding adults

· Ability to identify risks in their working environment and knowledge to minimises/manages risk

Qualities and Attributes:

· Positive role model, demonstrating values and behaviour expected of staff, communicating effectively through verbal and written skills and providing a good standard of customer service.

· Strives to reach the highest standards in customer care

· Self-motivated and works on own initiative, practical approach and adapting tasks to meet demands of the role

· Pride in their work with an interest to learn and succeed

· Dependable, team player, working with mutual respect

· A welcoming and approachable style, with ability to build positive relationship with residents and team members

· Ability to identify risks and manage these appropriately

· Conducts tasks in a structured and logical way, with ability to work to deadline
