Care Worker/Support Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in their homes or care facilities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and a strong understanding of care plans to meet the unique needs of each client. A background in home care or care homes is advantageous, as is the ability to drive and navigate IT systems for documentation purposes.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition using IT systems.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while providing care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively.
- A valid driving licence is highly desirable for transporting clients.
- Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping is beneficial.
- A compassionate nature with a commitment to improving the quality of life for clients.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by client needs.
