Financial Accountant

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a
Financial Accountant
to join a leading manufacturing group. This role will take ownership of
inventory, costing and capex control
across multiple UK and ROI sites.

Working closely with finance, operations, and commercial teams, you'll ensure financial accuracy, drive process improvement, and support strategic decision-making across the business. The position offers strong visibility and the chance to influence how core financial processes are managed and optimised.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of
  inventory accounting
  , including valuation, provisions, and write-offs
• Maintain and improve
  capex reporting and fixed asset controls
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to embed financial discipline and enhance cost efficiency
• Lead and support
  inventory counts
  and audits across multiple sites
• Analyse
  COGS, manufacturing variances and operational performance
  to support reporting, forecasting, and budgeting

About You

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (
  CIMA / ACCA / ACA
  or equivalent)
• Experience within a
  manufacturing or distribution environment
• Excellent analytical skills and advanced Excel capability
• Strong communication skills, able to work effectively across teams and functions
• A
  proactive attitude
  with a genuine interest in
  process optimisation and continuous improvement
