is entering an exciting new phase and we are looking for a bold, commercially minded leader to help shape it. This is a rare opportunity to take a key role at one of the UK's leading producing theatres, driving income growth, elevating the visitor experience, and ensuring our operations run seamlessly.

As the 
Head of Commercial & Operations, y
ou will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and play a pivotal part in integrating all commercial, customer-facing, and operational activity across the organisation. If you thrive on building new ventures, spotting opportunity, and delivering excellence through people, this is the role for you.

You will lead the development and delivery of a dynamic commercial strategy maximising revenue from bars and catering, venue hires, events, hospitality, and conference activity, while shaping new experiences that strengthen our reputation and financial resilience.

Alongside this, you will oversee our building operations, health & safety, and day-to-day visitor experience, ensuring Nottingham Playhouse remains a welcoming, safe, and inspiring place.

We are seeking an entrepreneurial, dynamic, and strategic leader with a strong track record in commercial growth and operational excellence. You will push boundaries, find innovative ways to grow income, optimise operations, and capitalise on new opportunities.

With a solid commercial and operational background ideally in a theatre, venue, or similarly complex setting, you will be confident managing diverse teams and delivering exceptional results. With a collaborative approach to leadership, you will inspire others, build strong partnerships, and lead by example. Above all, you will bring a passion for creating new ventures, driving change, and achieving tangible results.
