The Team
The Financial Analyst for UK Commercial finance plays a fundamental role for the UK market supporting the Brand, Digital and Retail marketing teams with budget and forecasting, cost and pricing optimization, business partnering, strategic support and ad-hoc analysis to support decisions and ensure operational execution.
This position is part of UK Commercial finance team, and reports directly into the UK Sr. Finance manager.
The Opportunity
Purpose of Position
Support in Quarterly and Yearly forecasting process for Advertising and Promotion and Boxes budget. Execute monthly closing activities (Reporting to different stakeholders). Provide financial analysis on Advertising and Promotion and Product Cost P&L lines vs forecast and vs PY. Assist in Mattel UK statutory audit for A&P and Boxes, and support with UK benefits claims process. Support the local marketing team on operational activities and budget tracking.
Key Results Areas:
- Accurate and timely completion of month end process, and forecasting activities
- Tracks performance through financial reports and KPIs
- Identifies risks, evaluates the impact and proposes changes.
What Your Impact Will Be
Working closely with commercial teams to provide actionable insights and drive performance. Leverage financial data to inform strategic decision-making, optimize pricing, cost management, and support the development of brand strategies that align with financial goals.

- Local Brand, Digital and Retail marketing teams.
- Local Sales team
- Collections/AR and AP teams
What We're Looking For
Technical:
- Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Accounting knowledge and understanding of P&L.
- Ability to manipulate complex, raw data to provide analytics and insights
- Preferred Experience using Oracle for downloading Balance sheet information, work with Oracle AP, GL, modules.
- Strong communication skills (know how to communicate data- both written and verbal)

- Finance/business degree and experience in operational and finance partnering roles.
