Working hours

Full time: between 20-36 hours. Shifts could look like 7.30am - 2pm or/and 4pm-9pm. We require someone who can work a variety of different shifts. This will include mornings, evenings and weekends. Preferably someone who can work at least one day at the weekend (can be alternate weekends)

Part time: Flexible if needing only a few clients calls a day to fit around you.. However would prefer someone is able to work some evenings and weekends even if on alternate weeks.

We are looking for someone who lives in Bexhill and is able to be flexible with their working pattern and also help out to cover extra client calls when needed.

Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes. This role is pivotal in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly seniors and those requiring specialised care. As a Home Care Worker, you will be responsible for assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while fostering a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support clients with mobility
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health conditions.
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
  • Assist with dementia care and hospice care for clients with specific health challenges.
  • Engage in meaningful activities with clients to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
  • Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client progress.

Experience

Ideal candidates will have experience in the following areas:

  • Dementia care and senior care practices.
  • Proficiency in meal preparation that caters to dietary restrictions.
  • Previous experience in medication administration is preferred.
  • A background in hospice care or nursing is beneficial but not mandatory.
