Join OneAdvanced

At OneAdvanced, we're on a mission to Power the World of Work– and we need sharp minds behind the numbers to make it happen. We're looking for a motivated, solution focused Financial Accounting Manager to join our dynamic central finance function. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and uncovering insights that drive smarter business decisions. This is more than just month-end – it's your chance to shape processes and influence change.

You'll join a close-knit team with a genuine culture of openness, support, and honest feedback. You'll gain hands-on experience that will accelerate your career. We're passionate about continuous improvement – and we want you to bring your voice, your ideas, and your ambition.

What You Will Do

As Financial Accounting Manager, you'll be the trusted expert overseeing financial integrity across the Group. Expect hands-on exposure and strategic influence.

You'll:

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements – monthly, quarterly, and annually
  • Oversee and manage general ledger processes across the Group alongside your fellow managers
  • Prepare and approve manual journals in line with financial thresholds
  • Manage and develop 1–2 direct reports, while supporting the broader finance team
  • Drive high-quality, timely balance sheet reconciliations and address discrepancies proactively
  • Champion process improvements and data accuracy across systems and reports
  • Build out policies and controls to strengthen compliance and reduce risk
  • Lead the way during audits – coordinating responses and delivering documentation
  • Generate insightful financial analysis that supports commercial decision-making
  • Collaborate with other finance teams and the wider business to mitigate risk
  • Play a key role in exciting cross-functional projects like acquisitions, refinancing, and transformation initiatives

What You Will Have

You're a detail-oriented problem solver, a strong communicator, and a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment. We're looking for:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA or equivalent) with at least 1-year post-qualification experience
  • Proven expertise in financial reporting, controls, and reconciliations
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret and present data clearly
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards
  • Experience with financial systems – Salesforce and NetSuite are a bonus

Please note: This is a Hybrid role, requiring 3 days based from our Head Office, Birmingham City Centre - Mailbox.
