Overview

, backed by private equity and entering an exciting period of growth and transformation. The company is investing heavily in technology, systems, and process improvements to support its next phase of expansion.

This newly created role offers a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong, commercially aware finance professional to work closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, delivering high-quality financial reporting and driving continuous improvement across the group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare statutory accounts for multiple UK entities in line with UK GAAP.
  • Support consolidated group reporting and liaise with PE investors and external auditors.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee compliance for corporate tax, VAT, and R&D tax credit reporting.
  • Contribute to finance transformation projects and process automation initiatives.
  • Strengthen internal controls and financial governance across the group.
  • Partner with operational and commercial teams to provide insight into performance.
  • Support ad hoc strategic projects, including M&A integration and investment appraisals.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance to finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) with a strong technical background.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory reporting, tax compliance, and group consolidations.
  • Exposure to R&D tax reliefs, corporate tax, and SCCR submissions advantageous.
  • Experience within a PE-backed or multi-entity group environment (highly desirable)
  • Advanced Excel and ERP systems experience.
  • Commercially aware with a proactive, improvement-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build credibility at senior levels.
