London Area, United Kingdom We Are Refyne Full time £880,000 - £1,048,000 per year

Title
:
Senior E-commerce Growth Lead (Shopify + Paid Social Strategy)

Package
: £70,000–£80,000 + performance bonus (up to £30,000)

Overview
: We are looking for a senior-level E-commerce Growth Lead who has already scaled a Shopify brand from at least £5m to £10m+ revenue. This role requires someone who deeply understands the growth levers behind beauty, personal care, or other low-AOV, high-volume DTC brands.

They need an operator who has run a full DTC engine, owned revenue targets, and built a high-performing e-commerce ecosystem.

You must have hands-on experience scaling low-AOV products (average order value: £18–£20; single SKUs around £8) and understand the economics, creative structure, and funnel strategy needed for fast-moving beauty or haircare categories.

You will own the performance of the global Shopify stores (UK, USA, India) and lead paid social strategy across Meta, Instagram, and Google. While you won't execute ads yourself day-to-day, you must know exactly what should run, how, and why and step in if needed.

You will lead a cross-functional team across Shopify, CRM, paid social, creative, and customer service, with strong support from senior leadership.

This is a rare opportunity for someone who wants both ownership and long-term upside.

Responsibilities
:

  • Own the P&L for the global Shopify business (UK, USA, India)
  • Set and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
  • Build a full growth roadmap across acquisition, conversion, and retention
  • Oversee CRO improvements including UX, merchandising, navigation, PDPs, landing pages, and onsite messaging
  • Brief Shopify developers and manage the release schedule
  • Manage the full customer funnel from first touch to repeat purchase
  • Own TOF/MOF/BOF strategy and structure
  • Define creative needs, hooks, formats, and testing cadence
  • Work with in-house designers to develop high-converting creatives
  • Guide the internal ads specialist to execute the strategy
  • Use modern post-iOS performance frameworks and consolidated learning setups
  • Ensure attribution accuracy, pixel health, and clear reporting
  • Oversee the external Google Ads agency
  • Review search, shopping, retargeting, and PMAX performance
  • Ensure consistent messaging and landing experiences across channels
  • Lead a team including CRM/Retention, Customer Service, Ads Specialist, Shopify Developer, and Designers
  • Set KPIs, workflows, and priorities
  • Build a culture focused on revenue, margin, and speed
  • Guide lifecycle strategy and email/SMS performance
  • Improve segmentation, flows, onsite capture, and personalisation
  • Increase returning customer rate and long-term value
  • Understand margins, COGS, shipping, and unit economics
  • Work with operations on forecasting and stock coordination
  • Ensure promotions and bundles are financially viable
  • Report performance clearly to leadership

You Are:

  • Proven success scaling a Shopify brand to £5m–£10m+
  • Experience in beauty, personal care, or other low-AOV, high-volume categories
  • Strong expertise in Meta performance marketing and creative strategy
  • Deep understanding of CRO, Shopify UX, and retention
  • Experienced team leader across multiple disciplines
  • Strong commercial skills (P&L, forecasting, margin management)
  • Confident communicator with a data-driven mindset
  • Comfortable working at speed and making decisive calls
  • Beauty or haircare background
  • Experience competing with large retailer marketplaces
  • Experience running multi-country Shopify setups
  • Direct brand-side DTC experience (preferred over purely agency background)
