Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage heavy lifting, making it essential for candidates to possess a strong work ethic and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations.
  • Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as required.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during each delivery interaction.
  • Assist in warehouse operations when not on the road, including inventory management and organisation of stock.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong skills in commercial driving, with a valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
  • Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is advantageous.
  • Experience as a van driver or in warehouse settings is a plus.
