The challenge

Part of being a #TrafficTransformer graduate at Yunex Traffic means you'll take part in our fantastic graduate development programme, gaining practical experience working on real projects in a leading, global intelligent traffic systems company. You'll bring fresh perspective to what we do, helping us to achieve our goals. We will provide an in-depth training plan to help you develop the specific skills and knowledge required for your role. By the end of your programme, you will be set up with the best knowledge and hands-on experience to equip you for your professional career in Yunex Traffic.

Here is a taste of what you can expect from this role:

To develop foundational technical and professional skills in systems engineering, with a focus on infrastructure, networking, and cloud technologies. This role is designed to prepare graduates for progression into customer-facing delivery roles.

The location of this apprenticeship role will be: Poole, Dorset.

The candidate 

We are looking for forward-thinking, inquisitive candidates who demonstrate the following characteristics:

Professional & Delivery Skills

• Ability to follow structured project delivery processes
• Willingness to learn customer engagement and stakeholder communication
• Interest in developing commercial awareness and understanding business impact
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• Basic understanding on engineering development processes, from requirements to acceptance testing.

Collaboration & Communication

• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Willingness to learn from peers and mentors
• Confidence to ask questions and seek feedback

Behaviours & Attitudes

• Proactive and curious mindset

Whilst not essential, it would be a bonus if you already have experience with:

• Basic understanding of IP networking and communications
• Exposure to Linux and/ or Windows operating systems
• Awareness of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiarity with system integration concepts

Minimum Educational Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Systems/ Software), STEM or relevant subject
• Internship, placement, or project experience in a technical environment is desirable, but not essential

Recruitment Process

Applications for our Graduate roles will close on 2nd February 2026.

For this role, we will be holding in-person interviews in Poole, some roles may also require attendance to a virtual interview, or in person assessment centre. Assessment centres typically include a combination of tasks and activities such as group problem-solving tasks, individual interviews, presentations, and role simulation exercises. Interviews are typically competency based and a chance for us to find out what your motivations are for your next career.

Our Graduates will join the business on Monday 7th September 2026, so you must be available from this date.

Please note, if you are applying for a graduate role at Yunex Traffic, you must have the Right to Work in the UK for the duration of graduate programme (2 years). Unfortunately, we are currently unable to sponsor anyone joining us on our Graduate Development Programme who doesn't have valid right to work in the UK.
