This includes intersection and pedestrian traffic controllers, intelligent urban traffic control systems, variable message signs, public transport, and car park guidance systems to enhance road safety and improve traffic flow in congested urban and inter-urban areas.

The challenge
Part of being a #TrafficTransformer graduate at Yunex Traffic means you'll take part in our fantastic graduate development programme, gaining practical experience working on real projects in a leading, global intelligent traffic systems company. You'll bring fresh perspective to what we do, helping us to achieve our goals. We will provide an in-depth training plan to help you develop the specific skills and knowledge required for your role. By the end of your programme, you will be set up with the best knowledge and hands-on experience to equip you for your professional career in Yunex Traffic.
Here is a taste of what you can expect from this role:
- Promote a safety culture driven by positive safety behaviours.
- Plan and manage works (both installation and maintenance) including resource and material allocation.
- Manage costs, utilisation and variations to ensure delivery of revenue and margin targets.
- Ensure works are completed timely and within scope and budget.
- Report on progress and important metrics.
- Manage a positive relationship with customers through regular communication and meetings.
- Ensure all employees and contractors work safely through completion of monthly site audits.
- Analyse and report on financial performance.
- Promote a high performing culture to deliver strategic aim and vision.
- Provide effective team communication through regular engagement
- Support national and local business improvement projects.
- Develop your leadership and people management skills.
The location of this role will be: Poole, Dorset or Avonmouth, Bristol (accepting applicants for both locations, successful applicant may be required to work across both depots).
The candidate
We are looking for forward-thinking, inquisitive candidates who demonstrate the following characteristics:
- Achieved or be on track to achieve a 2:1 or above in a relevant degree (with preference given to electrical/electronic or civil engineering), usually in a STEM or Business-related subject, having a desire to contribute in a challenging and diverse environment.
- You think logically, are willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving.
- You work independently, safely and responsibly; taking ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change.
- You enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions and are a self- motivated self-starter.
- Have the ability to learn and adapt, recognising changing trends and tackle the unexpected with enthusiasm
Minimum Educational Requirements
- Achieved or be on track to achieve a 2:1 or above in a relevant degree (with preference given to electrical/electronic or civil engineering).

Recruitment Process
Applications for our Graduate roles will close on 2nd February 2026.
For this role, we will be holding in-person interviews in Poole, some roles may also require attendance to a virtual interview, or in person assessment centre. Assessment centres typically include a combination of tasks and activities such as group problem-solving tasks, individual interviews, presentations, and role simulation exercises. Interviews are typically competency based and a chance for us to find out what your motivations are for your next career.
Our Graduates will join the business on Monday 7th September 2026, so you must be available from this date.

Please note, if you are applying for a graduate role at Yunex Traffic, you must have the Right to Work in the UK for the duration of graduate programme (2 years). Unfortunately, we are currently unable to sponsor anyone joining us on our Graduate Development Programme who doesn't have valid right to work in the UK.
