About The Role
As the Head of Digital Learning, you will play a key role in shaping how technology enhances teaching and learning across our school. You will lead the computer science curriculum from Nursery to Year 8, ensuring it is innovative, inspiring, and progressive. Working closely with the Head of Teaching, Learning and Innovation, you will champion best practice in digital learning, helping teachers build confidence and creativity in their use of technology. From coding and robotics to AI and media creation, you will bring digital learning to life in ways that excite pupils and prepare them for the future. You will also support colleagues through training, coaching, and collaborative projects, fostering a culture of curiosity and continuous improvement.
This is a middle-leadership role, reporting to the Head of Teaching, Learning and Innovation. The post holder will also teach Computer Science from Year 3 to Year 8.
This is a
full-time,
fixed-term maternity cover
appointment, running from approximately
January to December 2026
. We can be flexible with dates for the right candidate.
Who we are looking for:
You are an enthusiastic and forward-thinking educator with a strong background in computer science and digital learning. You have Qualified Teacher Status and experience teaching coding, robotics, and digital literacy to young learners. You are passionate about innovation, collaboration, and pupil agency, and you enjoy empowering both staff and students to use technology creatively and responsibly. Whether leading lessons, supporting colleagues, or exploring new EdTech opportunities, you bring vision, energy, and a commitment to excellence in digital education.
