Job Description Due to our current office administrator retiring we are seeking a motivated and adaptable individual to join our enthusiastic, fast-paced team within the food retail/meat trade sector. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across our production and office functions. The ability to learn quickly, multitask, and communicate effectively is essential. While previous experience in the meat industry and food retail is an advantage, it is not required—full training will be provided for the right candidate. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow your skills within a dynamic and supportive working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day office operations, including front desk duties, multi-line phone systems and working alongside our management team.
  • Coordinate vendor management activities such as procurement, service scheduling, and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers.
  • Handle bookkeeping tasks including invoicing, wages using systems such as Fresho and Sage50 Accounts
  • Support human resources functions by assisting with necessary training & development initiatives, and maintaining employee records.
  • Manage office supplies, inventory, filing systems and documents to promote efficient working
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information related to payroll, employee records, and medical office management when applicable.

Experience

  • Proven experience in office management or administrative roles within a professional environment.
  • Supervising experience demonstrating leadership in managing teams or projects effectively.
  • Proficiency in sage50 accounts or similar accounting software
  • Strong skills in schedule management, calendar coordination, and multi-tasking across various responsibilities.
  • Background in human resources functions such as training & development programs or payroll administration.
  • Excellent communication skills paired with organisational expertise to handle clerical duties like filing, front desk operations, and phone etiquette.
  • Full training will be provided for the right candidate
