Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Metal Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in metal fabrication and assembly, with hands-on experience in welding and grinding. This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency with various hand tools, ensuring the production of high-quality metal components.

Duties

  • Fabricate metal components according to specifications and drawings.
  • Operate welding equipment to join metal parts securely.
  • Perform grinding tasks to smooth surfaces and edges of metal pieces.
  • Assemble metal structures and components with precision.
  • Utilise hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal materials.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes.

Skills

  • Proficient in metal fabrication techniques and processes.
  • Strong welding skills, with experience in various welding methods.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal work and its applications.
  • Familiarity with tooling and the use of hand tools for metalworking tasks.
  • Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication.
  • Excellent mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
