We have the exciting opportunity for a Step 2 Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Supervisor to join our Derbyshire Talking Therapies Service
This is a hybrid role and we would be looking for someone someone based in the Derbyshire / Chesterfield area.
This role will start January 5th 2026.
About The Role
As a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Supervisor, you will offer clinical governance and leadership through the provision of regular and robust supervision to Step 2 Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs). Supervision will cover clinical and supervision of supervision, underpinned by Roth and Pilling's competency framework.

You will carry a small clinical caseload, delivering safe, effective and high quality care to clients within the Derbyshire Talking Therapies Service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision to Step 2 PWPs, maintaining accurate and up-to-date supervision records.
  • Audit supervisees' clinical work to ensure quality and adherence to governance standards.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leads to address performance and training needs.
  • Contribute to service delivery in line with NICE guidelines and the NHS Talking Therapies Manual.
  • Maintain a small caseload, delivering evidence-based psychological therapies.
  • Promote clinical excellence through skills sessions, service meetings, and incident reviews.
  • Foster a learning culture using tools such as audio/video recordings to support staff development.
  • Support the Derbyshire Talking Therapies risk team in managing client risk and service suitability.
  • Work with Vita Health Group to achieve Step 2 team KPIs and service objectives.
  • Deliver supervision in line with service protocols and clinical best practices.

About You

  • Qualified as an Talking Therapies Low Intensity Worker/PWP (Cert/Dip) with completed Low Intensity Supervisor Training
  • Registered with BABCP or BPS
  • Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience delivering low intensity interventions
  • Experience in supervising clinical work and supporting risk management
  • Understanding of IAPT Long-Term Conditions (LTC) requirements
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and deliver evidence-based interventions
  • Strong commitment to clinical excellence, service quality, and continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams
  • Skilled in managing change, showing resilience and supporting others through transitions
  • Demonstrates good judgment, time management, and decision-making abilities
  • Strong IT skills and ability to use relevant systems confidently
