Our client is a global Expert Services and Consulting firm is launching a significant strategic expansion by establishing a new Cyber Investigations and eDiscovery function in London. We are seeking a highly motivated and established Managing Director to spearhead this clean slate build out.

This role offers a unique entrepreneurial platform: you will have the autonomy to define the function and build the team, while being financially integrated with the high-growth Asia-Pacific (APAC) division. This structure allows the London team to immediately leverage existing client relationships and complex cross-border mandates flowing from the APAC region.

This is an origination and billing-focused leadership role with the following key objectives:

  • Clean slate practice development: Build and lead the UK practice from the ground up, defining its market strategy, technical service offerings, and delivery capabilities.
  • UK network origination: Proactively develop and secure high-value mandates using an existing, established professional network within the UK legal, compliance, and corporate markets.
  • APAC integration: Collaborate directly with the APAC Managing Director to drive cross-regional engagements and ensure seamless technical delivery on global mandates.
  • Team establishment: Identify and recruit initial key talent (1-2 professionals) to support immediate project delivery and growth objectives.
  • Expert consulting: Serve as a testifying or lead expert on complex disputes, digital forensics, and regulatory investigations across the UK and international jurisdictions.

We are seeking a seasoned leader who is well-known and respected within the UK consulting or legal market, demonstrating a sustained history of successful practice building and client generation.

Candidates must be a current Partner or Managing Director from a Big Four, specialised forensic firm, or top-tier law firm and possess:

  • Deep UK market experience: Demonstrable history of successfully working and consulting within the UK, with a strong, active network to support new business development.
  • Billing/Origination focus: Proven capacity to originate and deliver high-value client engagements.
  • Technical expertise: Strong background in at least one of the following: Digital Forensics, Incident Response, eDiscovery, Litigation Consulting, or complex Data Analytics for disputes.

The compensation model is structured to be highly leveraged, directly rewarding success in business origination and practice profitability.

  • Fixed compensation: Competitive fixed base salary commensurate with Managing Director roles in top-tier London consultancies.
  • Profit share model: Participation in a lucrative profit-share compensation model that links financial reward directly to the performance of the function, ensuring significant upside potential for success.
