We are excited to be recruiting a Managing Director for CO Home Improvements, who are a division of The Conservatory Outlet Group.
The Yorkshire-based home improvement group has been outperforming the market with £62m of annual revenues and employing more than 400 people. The group is celebrating its 20th anniversary with ambitious growth plans launched in a four-year strategy targeting £100 million in sales.
Whilst continuing its UK-wide coverage for its dynamic dealer network, CO Manufacturing is expanding its trade products business across the North West and Yorkshire and also developing specialist windows and doors for new-build housing projects covering the whole north of England and the midlands.
Meanwhile, CO Home Improvements, which the incoming Managing Director will be responsible for, aims to almost double its revenues across its six established retail brands, operating in the East Midlands, Northwest and Yorkshire.
This is an exciting role for a commercially focussed Managing Director to join one of the UK's leading home improvement specialists who supply and install a wide range of high-quality windows, doors and living spaces.
Description
· With the leadership team, execute a strategic plan designed to optimise performance of the home improvement business. This will be demonstrated through positive sales turnover growth and increased profit margin.
· Develop a sales and marketing strategy to develop already established regions which includes Yorkshire, Lancashire and the East Midlands with a plan to increase sales growth.
· Continue to evolve opposed to revolutionise the business.
· Lead, mentor and develop the experienced senior leadership team as well as leading the development of future leaders and the wider management team.
· Be focused on continuous improvement to maintain and develop consistent product quality and install efficiency.
· Proactively collect and value ideas for product, marketing and sales process improvements and implement according to impact.
· Track KPIs and develop new working practices that improve the quality and efficiency of supporting processes.
· Ensure an exceptional customer experience in terms of cost, quality, and delivery.
· Work closely with the key stakeholders to maximise sales and become intimate with the inner workings of all sides of the group.
· Identify and make possible bolt on acquisitions.
Profile
· A well-rounded, commercially focused Managing Director who has ideally worked in a B2C environment within the home improvement sector. For example, fenestration (windows, doors), KBB (kitchen, bedroom, bathroom products), fitted furniture, landscaping products, carpet and flooring.
· A strong marketing, brand and PR generalist with an excellent mix of hands-on and strategic experience.
· Proven track record of growing businesses profitably.
· Flexibility of thinking with an inclusive leadership style that would suit a privately owned SME growth environment.
· People focused approach who can demonstrate experience of installing a "can do-will do" culture throughout career.
· Understands and manages risk - commercial, operational, financial, strategic and reputational.
· An open, down to earth and likeable personality with honesty, integrity and strong business acumen.
· Comfortable engaging with staff at all levels with an open-door policy.
