Boyes Design is a bespoke joinery and furniture studio based in Nottingham, specialising in high-quality cabinetry and made-to-measure interiors. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Bench Joiner to join our workshop team.

The Role

You will be responsible for manufacturing high-quality bespoke joinery and cabinetry from technical drawings, working closely with our designers and workshop team to deliver exceptional craftsmanship on every project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret detailed technical drawings and workshop plans
  • Cut, shape and assemble bespoke joinery and cabinetry components
  • Set up and safely operate woodworking machinery, including saws, routers, sanders, milling equipment and a CNC machine
  • Use hand tools and power tools to a high standard of accuracy and finish
  • Prepare work for finishing, including sanding, assembly and quality checks
  • Work collaboratively with designers and workshop team members to resolve build or material challenges
  • Maintain workshop organisation, cleanliness and tool care
  • Follow all health and safety procedures at all times

About You

  • Proven experience as a Bench Joiner or Cabinet Maker
  • Experience working with or alongside CNC machinery (training can be provided if required)
  • Experience using SketchUp or similar design software is desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality craftsmanship
  • Confident working from technical drawings
  • Reliable, organised and able to work well as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £15.00 per hour
