We're looking for a friendly, reliable, organised and enthusiastic person to join our Treehouse Tea Room family. If you love great coffee, homemade cakes and providing a welcoming customer experience, this role could be perfect for you The Treehouse Tea Room is open Tuesday to Saturday 10 until 4.

About the Role

As the face of our tea room, you'll make every customer feel at home. From preparing quality hot drinks and serving delicious cakes to keeping our space tidy and inviting, you'll play a key role in creating a memorable experience for every guest.

This is a casual role and offers a minimum of 6 hours per week with potential of more. We require a candidate with availability to accept shifts on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. (Possible shifts include 11-2)

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Being the first person to welcome guests to the tea room.
  • Serving customers with a warm, friendly approach – taking table orders at the counter and engaging in conversation. Always with a smile
  • Preparing coffees, teas, and other beverages to a high standard
  • Sending food orders to the cook and managing / fulfilling drinks orders
  • Taking food out when ready, clearing tables, washing and tidying
  • Maintaining a clean and organised front of house area
  • Handling payments and operating the till
  • Working as part of a small, supportive team

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly, approachable, and enjoys working with people
  • Reliable, hardworking, and takes pride in great service
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to multitask in a busy, friendly environment
  • Flexible to work weekdays and weekends as required
  • Barista or hospitality experience preferred but not essential

Hours & Pay

  • Casual hours - from 6 hours a week
  • Example Shift Pattern Tuesday and Wednesday 11-2
  • Tuesday to Saturday (potential Sunday for events)
  • Minimum Wage
