**Overview**

As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment and is eager to contribute to our growing success.

The Tea Room Cook will manage all food duties in the kitchen and oversee front of house staff on duty. Responsibilities include - but not restricted to:

- Food preparation: Preparing food for customers, including baking cakes and scones
- Food safety: Ensuring food is prepared in accordance with hygiene and food safety regulations
- Kitchen cleanliness: Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen
- Customer service: Serving customers in the tea room, taking orders, and operating the till
- Teamwork: Working closely with the team to ensure meals are served promptly
- Stock management: Managing stock levels and purchasing additional items from local stores
- Kitchen maintenance: Washing up and keeping kitchen equipment in good condition
- Special events: Supporting other activities in the tea room, and when required for special events

Occasional duties:

- Taking orders from the public, serving food and drink (Barista Training included)
- Taking money for food and drink and processing transactions through the till.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

**Skills**
- Experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen environment.
- A passion for cooking and creating delicious food that delight customers.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £10,707.84-£14,277.12 per year

Expected hours: 18 - 24 per week
