Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Senior Reinsurance Underwriter role based in the City of London. The Senior Reinsurance Underwriter will manage and assess complex reinsurance contracts, evaluate risks, negotiate terms, and monitor underwriting performance. The role involves developing solutions that align with client needs, maintaining strong relationships with brokers and clients, and staying informed on market trends and regulatory requirements. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business targets and contribute to the company's growth strategy.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in reinsurance (Both Facultative & Treaty) underwriting, specifically in areas like surety, bonds, property, or engineering insurance
  • Strong analytical skills for risk analysis, financial assessment, and decision-making
  • Proficiency in negotiation and relationship building with brokers, clients, and stakeholders
  • Thorough understanding of global insurance markets and regulatory environments
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts effectively
  • Proven leadership abilities to mentor and guide junior team members
  • Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications in insurance or reinsurance are advantageous
