Employee Benefits Sales Support Administrator

Mercer Marsh Benefits have a fantastic opportunity to join our team as an Employee Benefits Sales Support Administrator.

Mercer invites you to join our team as an Employee Benefits Sales Support where you will embark on a comprehensive learning journey across a wide spectrum of benefits solutions.

This role is perfect for someone who wants to explore and understand the full landscape of employee benefits, including Private Medical Insurance, Cash Plans, Travel, Dental, Health Screening, Group Life, Group Income Protection, Critical Illness, and much more. The role is not targeted but offers great exposure to the New Business sales world, enabling you to gain broad exposure to Mercer's diverse and innovative solutions.

In this role, you will start by supporting our experienced employee benefits team, gaining valuable hands-on experience and insight into how we deliver our services. This support role is designed to help you build confidence and deepen your understanding of the various benefits solutions we offer.

As you grow in knowledge and when you are ready, we would expect the right candidate to gradually take on more responsibility and transition into a full employee benefits role. This approach ensures you develop at a comfortable pace, with the right guidance and support, setting you up for long-term success in your career.

Note: This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week working in our Bristol office.

We will count on you to:

  • Support the team in delivering tailored benefits advice and solutions
  • Develop your knowledge of the employee benefits market and Mercer's wider offerings
  • Participate in training and development programmes designed to build your expertise
  • Learn about a variety of employee benefits products and services in a supportive, non-targeted environment
  • Work alongside experienced colleagues to understand client needs and how Mercer's solutions meet them
     

What you need to have: 

  • Be enthusiastic and eager to learn about employee benefits from the ground up
  • You are open-minded and curious, with a desire to explore multiple areas rather than specialise immediately
  • An effective communicator with good interpersonal skills
  • Be organised and proactive, with a willingness to take on new challenges
     

What makes you stand out:

  • Ideally, some interest or background in HR, insurance, finance, or related fields, but not essential
