Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with the ability to oversee kitchen operations efficiently. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase culinary expertise in a professional environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure smooth operations
  • Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of meals during service hours
  • Oversee food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen
  • Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating innovative culinary ideas
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation effectively
  • Ensure all food served meets quality standards and presentation requirements
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent hospitality experiences
  • Train new team members in food preparation, safety procedures, and service standards

Experience

  • Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment
  • Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques
  • Demonstrable leadership skills with experience managing a team in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality
  • Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, with familiarity in serving customers directly or indirectly
  • Competence in managing kitchen operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene
  • Knowledge of culinary trends and innovative cooking methods is advantageous
