Role Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on Data Governance (DG) Analyst with strong expertise in Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) to join our London-based analytics team. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in data cataloguing, data scanning, profiling, and other key DG activities. Experience with other data governance tools is an advantage.

This role will work closely with stakeholders across business and technology teams to enhance and maintain client's data governance framework, ensuring the quality, integrity, and usability of enterprise data.

Responsibilities Overview:

  • Implement and maintain data cataloguing, metadata management, and data quality processes using Informatica IDMC (Data Governance & Catalog).
  • Perform data scanning, profiling, and classification across systems to improve visibility and trust in organizational data assets.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of data dictionaries, data lineage, and business glossaries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Conduct data quality assessments, track issues, and drive remediation activities.
  • Participate in and support data governance committees and working groups.
  • Document and maintain governance processes for data collection, storage, access, sharing, usage, and compliance.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data governance frameworks and tools.

Candidate Profile:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in Data Governance with a focus on Informatica IDMC (Data Governance & Catalog) or similar tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation).
  • Based in the UK, with readiness to attend the London office as needed.
  • Strong understanding of data cataloguing, metadata management, data profiling, and data quality frameworks.
  • Experience developing and implementing data policies, standards, and operating procedures.
  • Knowledge of data management principles, data lineage, and data classification.
  • Exposure to insurance or financial services domain data preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a data-centric field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate with a high degree of ownership.
