Grounds Maintenance Operative

Job Type: Permanent

Full time – Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Salary: £25,750 per annum pro rata

Applicants will require a current UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.

Who are we?

Founded in 2012, PFM Group is a growing and ambitious Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance company. We undertake work for a number of well-known and established property management companies and currently have a portfolio of over 200 sites nationwide. The PFM Group is currently looking to employ a Grounds Maintenance Operative to work on sites in and around Warrington and the North West.

About the Role:

  • As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be undertaking all aspects of grounds maintenance and landscaping duties on our clients' sites which include retail and business parks, office blocks, industrial estates, and residential properties.
  • The job is a full-time role. You will work five days a week, Monday to Friday, with varying start and finish times.
  • You will be using pedestrian and ride-on mowers, hedge trimmers, brushcutters, leaf blowers and backpack sprayers. Experience in the use of these tools is essential.
  • You will be required to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • All equipment and PPE will be provided.

Essential Attributes:

  • Previous experience in a grounds maintenance or landscaping role.
  • Good knowledge of plants, tools and grounds maintenance and landscaping operations.
  • Comfortable with using hand-held devices for reporting purposes.
  • Someone that is hard working, reliable, trustworthy and has the ability to work independently if needed.
  • Good time management.
  • A keen eye for detail and someone that takes pride in their work.

Desired Qualifications

  • Safe use of pesticides - PA1 & PA6
  • Certificates of competence for equipment such as mowers, hedge trimmers and brushcutters
  • Chainsaw - CS 30 & CS 31
