EVENING AND WEEKEND TEAM LEAD

REMOTE AND PART-TIME, AFTER INITIAL ONSITE TRAINING IN WELLINGBOROUGH

STARTING SALARY £30,000-35,000 (FTE)

We appreciate Monday to Friday '9-5' doesn't fit around everyone's lifestyle. Perhaps you have children at school, are in education or just enjoy the option of varied shift patterns?

With that in mind, Weatherbys Banking Group are looking for a part time, remote working, Evening and Weekend Team Lead to join our extended hours team, supporting our clients out of hours.

THE ROLE

The extended hours service is available to our clients from Monday to Friday between 18:00 and 23:00, as well as on weekends and bank holidays between 08:30 and 17:00. We do require you to work at least every other weekend, but we are flexible with which days of the week you can work and can offer you up to 22.75 hours per week.

You'll lead and oversee a process team that ensures the highest calibre of customer service. You'll bring with you strong leadership skills and be keen to support the ongoing development of the team.

This is a remote role, however we do require you to attend an initial training period in person at our Wellingborough office to strengthen your skills and get to know the team. Training will be during standard working hours (09:00 and 17:30) and your availability during this time will determine the duration of the training, which can range from 3 to 4 weeks.

If you have a part-time role and are looking to supplement your income, this could work really well for you. However, if you have a full-time role then the commitment needed for this role would not be manageable.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

  • Lead, direct, develop and coach team members
  • Coordinate daily workflow and resource management
  • Monitor and evaluate individual performance – one-to-one interaction and performance/absence management as well as succession/career planning
  • Providing a high-calibre service to our clients
  • Ensure all individual responsibilities are completed in accordance with bank processes and procedures
  • Evaluate and address operational risk within the team – you'll support staff with appropriate knowledge gaps

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • This might seem obvious, but you need a quiet and private space where you can work to maintain confidentiality and focus
  • Working knowledge of standard banking procedures including understanding basic operational processes, compliance requirements, and customer service protocols
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role with responsibility for guiding, coaching, or developing team members
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and spoken English
  • Be able to show an ability to take responsibility for your own workload, make informed decisions independently, and also work effectively as part of a team
