Heler Foods Packing is one of the UK's leading cheese packing facilities, based in Minffordd, North Wales. With BRC AA accreditation and Red Tractor certification, we are committed to delivering exceptional quality, safety and service.

Our state-of-the-art facility employs over 250 colleagues, supporting Joseph Heler's renowned cheese production in Nantwich. We supply a wide range of UK and international retailers, food manufacturers, and contract packing partners.

We are now looking to recruit a QA Auditor to join our growing Quality Team.

The Role

As a QA Auditor, you will play a key part in maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality and compliance across the site. You will carry out daily checks, audits, and investigations to ensure our processes deliver excellence every time.

This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, a methodical approach, and a passion for ensuring high standards in a food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine monitoring and documentation of hygiene, housekeeping, GMP, food safety, allergen control, legality and product quality.
• Manage non-conformances effectively, including root cause analysis and reporting findings to the Quality Manager.
• Ensure glass and hard plastic control procedures are followed and incidents managed correctly.
• Verify HACCP standards across the full product range.
• Lead and carry out internal audits to drive continuous improvement.
• Review supplier documentation and support new supplier approval processes.
• Assist with external pest control audits and maintain onsite pest prevention standards.
• Monitor QAS and line standards to ensure consistent compliance.
• Oversee GMP audits, calibration schedules, traceability and laboratory testing.
• Deputise for the Quality Manager when required.

About You
Essential Experience & Qualifications

• Experience working in a laboratory or similar food environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• Logical and methodical working style
• Internal auditor qualification
• Understanding of BRC standards
• Minimum Basic Food Hygiene

Desirable

• Food Safety and/or HACCP qualification (Level 2+)
• Experience working with retailer quality systems
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
• Knowledge of measurement and testing procedures
