We are seeking a flexible, motivated, and dedicated Primary Cover Teacher to join our Primary Phase team at Bridgwater College Academy. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across our school, supporting pupils from EYFS to Year 6, and contributing to the continued success of our thriving academy.

As a Primary Cover Teacher, you will work across the primary phase to deliver engaging lessons, maintain continuity of learning, and ensure a positive classroom environment whenever regular class teachers are absent. You will work closely with our teaching teams and leaders to provide consistency, support curriculum delivery, and help ensure that every child achieves their full potential.

If you are passionate about teaching, thrive on variety, and enjoy being part of a supportive and dynamic team, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience of teaching across the primary age range (EYFS to Year 6).
  • A secure understanding of the primary curriculum and effective classroom practice.
  • The ability to adapt quickly to different classes and year groups, maintaining high standards of teaching and behaviour.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • A flexible and proactive approach, ensuring a smooth and consistent learning experience for all pupils.
  • A commitment to inclusive education, high expectations, and the vision that "Every Child Achieves."

Why Join Us?

At Bridgwater College Academy, you will become part of a committed, supportive, and ambitious leadership team within a values-driven Trust that puts pupils first. We are collaborative and inclusive, with a strong sense of purpose and a shared determination to raise aspirations for all.

Our employees also benefit from:

  • Opportunities for professional development through our Trust-wide CPD programmes.
  • A nurturing and innovative environment to develop your career.
  • The chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people.
  • An Employee Reward Scheme including high-street discounts and a Staff Wellbeing Hub.

Informal discussions and visits to the school are warmly encouraged, please contact us to arrange.
