Emmaus North Staffs is a charity based in Hanley. We operate the areas' largest charity shop, which is in the city centre. Through this enterprise, the income enables us to support around 900 local households every year with free and discounted furniture and appliances.

Job description

We are seeking an EXPERIENCED furniture removals van driver to join our charity's team, ideally someone with furniture donations & deliveries experience for a charity.

Please note: the post is PART-TIME for 3 days per week: Friday is a fixed day and we are flexible to agree the other two days during Monday to Thursday, although ideally it would be Weds to Fri.

Hourly rate is £12.60 as we are a "Living Wage Foundation" employer.

The successful applicant needs to be passionate about working for the charity and be experienced in carefully and safely delivering and collecting large items such as furniture and / or appliances.

We are seeking a strong team worker, someone with the ability to problem-solve, to plan their day and workload, and to have positive communication skills as the vans team is the backbone of the charity's enterprise.
