Project Manager (Full-Time Hybrid / Part-Time Office-Based)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced (3-5 years) project manager (PM) to join our team. This is an important role for our company, and a huge opportunity for the right person to make an impact as we continue to grow. The successful candidate should have an eye for detail, a willingness to learn and be keen to undertake new challenges.
Your Position:
Project Manager
As a PM, you will be responsible for the delivery of interpretation design projects and reporting on progress to the project team (internal and external). You will play a key role within Tandem's management team and will report to the Creative Director and Senior Project Manager (SPM). Interpretation Design is a specialised and unique industry, so candidates should show a willingness to learn and grow within the role. The SPM and Creative Director will provide in-post mentoring and support.
Qualities & Compentencies:
- You will be able to quickly identify areas of risk/concern and oversee complex projects and
- fit-outs, requiring skill and effort, whilst monitoring and working with a sharp eye for detail –your colleagues rely on the project manager to plan and execute projects with clear instructions and adhering to timelines
- As the go-to-person for our clients, you must be able to build and maintain strong client and colleague relationships
- You'll be a driven, ambitious and pro-active person with strong organisational, and communication skills.
- You'll be adept at effectively running projects with a focus on delivery and quality. All the requisite project management skills including effective project set-up, budget control, project tracking and reporting, risk and issue analysis and quality assurance will be essential
- We're looking for a hands-on, client-facing individual who is confident in decision-making, and always ready to face new challenges while striving for perfection
- You must be conscientious with incredible organisation and attention to detail. Someone
- who can adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines, with an ability to learn quickly and acumen to adapt to the project and business needs
- You have a thirst for knowledge and will be eager to apply project management techniques and best practices
- You will have a positive 'can do' solution-focused mentality
Your Tasks & Responsibilities:
Project Specific Tasks
- Manage small and large scale projects independently
- Structure / plan projects and devise efficient processes
- Submit monthly invoice forecasting updates to the SPM and Creative Director for planning the work scheduling of the in-house design and interpretation planning team
- Regularly liaise with clients, external design team members and the in-house team to ensure projects run smoothly
- Maintain a high standard of work across all accounts
- Source quotations and costs from suppliers
- Source new suppliers / manufacturers of bespoke products
New Business Development
Scope potential new projects, including:
- Gathering project information
- Prepare quotations
Source, review and assess new tender opportunities including:
- Read, scope and write tenders and provide analysis of unsuccessful tender applications
- Compile and collate tender submissions, provide written input into tender responses
Your Qualifications & Skills:
You get things done, have a systematic and analytical approach to your tasks which supports you to meet deadlines. You enjoy working independently whilst still being part of a team. You take initiative and are able to ensure that you receive the information you need. You are motivated to create continuous improvement. Being part of the solution to ensure successful project delivery
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management or a related field
- Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage
- Experience with Architecture/Design practices or multidisciplinary firms is highly desirable
As well as energy, enthusiasm and some project management experience, to join us you'll also need to:
- Be organised and meticulous, but personable and flexible – with impressive communication skills, maturity and an authentic approach to liaising with clients
- Be able to autonomously track costs and budgets and have a detailed eye for financials
- Be a team player with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Have an understanding of both technical and creative processes
- Have a proven track record working in fast-paced environments, able to work both quickly and accurately with a keen attention to detail
- Have the ability and personality to solve problems and push a team to deliver high-quality work
- Adopt a pro-active approach to new creative opportunities
- Some industry experience working in creative agencies and some knowledge of production/fit-out processes is advantageous but not essential
