Senior Bid Writer

An established professional services company is looking for an experienced Senior Bid Writer to join its dedicated team. This role offers the chance to shape winning bid strategies and lead the production of persuasive proposals that make a real impact.

You'll collaborate with internal experts to create engaging content tailored to each opportunity, translating technical information into clear, compelling responses. If you're a strong communicator with an eye for detail and a solid background in bidding, this is an ideal next step.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a bid writing or proposal role within a professional environment
  • A relevant degree (e.g., English, Journalism, Business)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple bids and tight deadlines
  • High-level written communication skills, including editing and proofreading
  • Strong research and analytical capabilities
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)

Desirable experience:

  • Knowledge of CRM platforms (preferably HubSpot)
  • Familiarity with Adobe InDesign
  • APMP certification or similar

Main Duties:

  • Develop tailored, high-impact content for complex tender submissions
  • Partner with technical teams and stakeholders to plan bid approaches
  • Refine and review content for clarity, consistency, and compliance
  • Support decision-making during bid qualification processes
  • Guide and mentor junior team members to build team capability
  • Maintain alignment with brand voice and submission standards
