London, Greater London, United Kingdom Brunswick Group Full time £60,000 - £120,000 per year

Opportunity

Working within Brunswick's Financial Institution Group (FIG) in London, and working closely with many of the world's largest financial services companies, our Directors advise clients, drive execution on accounts and lead teams, focusing on the delivery of workstreams and proactive development of ideas.

About The Role

You will nurture a wide internal network across our international offices and specialisms to share, develop and deliver the best examples of work for internal and external use; as well as broadening your external network. You will need to:

  • Demonstrate an ability to convince a wide range of stakeholders of clients' point of view in critical situations and – through strong relationships with your clients – to explain how this is being achieved.
  • Lead teams on client accounts within the financial institutions practice, managing workflow and key elements (e.g. client calls, drafting of materials.).
  • Advise clients across a range of issues and communications disciplines, with the support of Partners, and drawing on independent experience and insights.
  • Understand complex sector issues and the attitude of media, investors, politicians, regulators, NGOs and other stakeholder groups.
  • Manage complex media and policy-related interactions, using advanced knowledge of media and other stakeholder landscapes.
  • Play a key role in the FIG team's management and dynamics, including supporting smooth team transitions, and serving as a day-to-day mentor to junior team members.
  • Play an active role in new business identification and winning new clients and mandates, including participating in pitch meetings.
  • Foster a network of journalist and stakeholder contacts and relationships, proactively building a network to identify new business prospects and media contacts.
  • Together with Partners, proactively drive the strategic growth of Brunswick's Financial Institutions offer for clients in London and internationally.

What We Are Looking For

  • 10 years of relevant experience either working in an advisory role within financial services, or consulting experience advising financial clients. Private Markets experience in particular would be useful but it not essential.
  • An understanding of the interplay between corporates, the financial community, the political and regulatory arena and social stakeholders.
  • A strong sense of corporate positioning, and how to develop strategies that can translate into programs with real sustained impact.
  • Knowledge of the financial services media landscape, with experience in media-handling.
  • Ability to operate effectively in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
  • A strong verbal and written communicator with high EQ levels and an engaging presentation style.
  • A global perspective and ability to thrive working alongside international businesses.
  • Credible and compelling with senior business leaders.
  • A balance of creative and analytical thinking, bringing rigor, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Proven project and/or program management experience.
  • A natural team player who prefers to work in a collegiate way.
