Ashdown Ward is a 6 bedded male Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) that cares for individuals experiencing severe mental illness of a functional nature. We support men between the ages of 18-65 years and are situated in the same building as our mixed gendered adult ward - Beechlydene.

You will have empathy and compassion for people who experience mental health issues, as Service User care is at the heart of our work.
The role will be based on Ashdown ward, at Fountain Way in Salisbury.
Hours of work will be 37.5 hours covering Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm.
Sorry but we cannot offer sponsorship for this post.
PREVIOUS APPLICANTS NEED NOT APPLY.
To provide comprehensive administration support to the Ward Manager and to the wider Multidisciplinary Team, you will have previous clerical and administrative experience .
You will have a good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages and be willing to undertake training in order to use other software packages, including our eRostering system and our electronic patient record system (RiO).
You will be dealing with telephone enquiries and liaising with other clinical teams, third sector health care providers and outside agencies.
You will be responsible for ordering supplies and stationery items for the unit. This will include using NHS supplies and AWP's non-stock ordering system.
You will be required to type letters, produce documents, reports and agendas, and take minutes at a variety of meetings including the daily ward morning meeting. Note taking training is provided by AWP.
The role requires the successful candidate to be able to adapt to constant changes in workload priorities and be able to work in an often noisy and busy environment.
We are AWP (Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust): a diverse organisation with over 5,000 dedicated staff providing inpatient and community-based mental health care.
