This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Associate or Senior Associate to join the Infrastructure Finance arm of this leading UK law firm's highly rated Banking & Finance practice in London. The Infra Fin team advises sponsors and funders across a range of UK and cross-border infrastructure transactions, spanning a variety of financing events and products applicable to the energy and infrastructure sector, and including acquisition financing, refinancings (including by way of multi-creditor platforms), portfolio financings, and Holdco financings. Whilst the team focuses predominantly on brownfield financings and deals involving financial investors, they occasionally also advise on project level financings as close clients move into earlier stage developments. Within infrastructure, they cover a range of different industry sectors including energy (conventional power, renewable energy, and energy infrastructure), digital, transport, water and waste management, oil and gas, mining and minerals, utilities, communications, and social infrastructure, and continuing to follow clients into new and innovative sub sectors, as the definition of infrastructure expands. The position will entail supporting and working directly with a leading Infra Fin partner, and performing a key role in supporting the structuring, negotiation, and documentation of major Infra Fin transactions. Infrastructure is considered strategically significant to the wider - and highly ambitious - Finance Group so this is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to have real impact as the practice grows. This position requires a combination of technical legal ability, transaction management and relationship-building skills; the team's ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure finance or project finance at other leading law firms, excellent analytical abilities, and a keen interest in the Energy and Infra sectors. A commercial approach, strong team ethos and exceptional drafting and negotiating skills are sought for this varied, interesting and challenging top-level B&F position.
