About Us

Job Summary:

We are seeking a female live-in carer to join our team, providing support and companionship to an elderly couple in their home. The role is based on a two weeks on, two weeks off shift pattern. The first shift being 11th December 3pm until 25th dec 3.15pm.

You will have a two-hour break each day for rest and personal time.

We also offer up to £40 towards travel costs for each two-week shift.

Preparation for Placement:

  • We will facilitate an enhanced DBS check to ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
  • References will be obtained in advance to confirm your qualifications and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care tailored to each client's needs, including hygiene assistance, dressing, and nutrition.
  • Supporting mobility, including using a hoist for one client who is bed bound.
  • Conducting household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Administering medication and monitoring health, reporting any significant changes.
  • Providing companionship, engaging in conversation, assisting with reading, and facilitating leisure activities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in caregiving or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of dementia care, assisted living, and patient care techniques.
  • Ability to administer medications accurately and safely.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Compassion, patience, and empathy for elderly clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Completion of mandatory training.
